Joseph J. Duffy announces new project- Ekstam Assisted Living

Joseph J. Duffy CO. has been selected by Covenant Health Care Centers, Inc. to begin a program to update this 2004 era 36,000 square feet facility. This project, designed by BLDD Architects, will increase Ekstam’s capability of providing care for residents living with dementia and their care givers in the 62 Assisted Living apartments with a household type layout that encompass this area. Also, many aspects of the interior decor are outdated and in need of replacement with updated features for the current and anticipated resident population and are a part of this project. 

In addition the current Ekstam ‘main entry’ is located at the town center and is not easily located by visitors. This has caused confusion for many visitors, so a new entrance is being created to more clearly serve this facility. As this program continues it will expand the capacity of the memory care with updated finishes and reconfigured common spaces. Assisted Living dining will be relocated to the second floor and is designed to include a finishing kitchen to enhance the dining experience. This project will better serve residents and staff with a remodeled and enriching atmosphere.
